It feels like Halloween Horror Nights just started—but somehow, we’re already heading into the final stretch of the 2026 season.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 began at Universal Studios Florida on August 28 and is scheduled for select nights through November 1, 2026. That means there are only a handful of weeks left to experience this year’s event.
If you’ve been saying, “We’ll make it to HHN this year,” but haven’t made it happen yet, consider this your final reminder.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 Has Been One for the Books
This year’s event celebrates the 35th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, bringing together 10 haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment and plenty of terrifying surprises throughout Universal Studios Florida.
From returning icons like Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow to houses inspired by major horror titles, there’s been plenty for horror fans to experience this year.
And now that we’re approaching the end of the season, it’s the perfect time to look back at some of the things that have made HHN 35 so memorable.
The Houses Are a Huge Part of the Experience
Of course, one of the biggest reasons people return to Halloween Horror Nights year after year is the haunted houses.
This year’s lineup includes 10 houses, with experiences inspired by properties including Stranger Things 5, Sinners, Hellraiser and Evil Dead Burn, alongside original HHN stories and characters.
Whether you’re the person who wants to see every house or the person who picks a few favorites and takes their time, there’s no shortage of scares waiting inside.
Don’t Forget the Scare Zones
The haunted houses may get most of the attention, but walking through the scare zones is part of what makes Halloween Horror Nights feel like an entire Halloween world.
Instead of simply moving from one house to the next, guests can encounter performers, characters and themed environments throughout the park.
Sometimes the moments you aren’t expecting are the ones you’ll remember most.
And Then There’s the Food
Let’s be honest: spooky food is part of the fun.
Halloween Horror Nights has become just as much of a food event for many guests as it is a scare event, with themed food and drinks throughout the event.
So if you’re planning one final visit, don’t forget to leave some room in the itinerary for a snack—or two.
Our Favorite Part? The Atmosphere.
There’s something different about walking through Universal Studios Florida once the sun goes down during HHN.
The music changes.
The lighting changes.
The fog rolls in.
And suddenly, familiar areas of the park feel completely different.
Even if you’ve experienced Halloween Horror Nights before, the atmosphere is a huge part of why people keep coming back.
You Still Have Time to Go
Here’s the good news: Halloween Horror Nights isn’t over yet.
Universal Orlando currently has HHN scheduled for select nights through November 1, 2026.
So if you’re within driving distance of Orlando, you still have an opportunity to make a spooky-season trip happen.
You don’t necessarily need to plan an entire week at Universal Orlando, either.
Turn it into a quick getaway.
Drive in for the evening.
Make it a date night.
Plan a weekend with friends.
Or book a short Universal Orlando stay and turn one night of HHN into a full fall vacation.
Make One Last Trip Before the Season Ends
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to experience Halloween Horror Nights 35, the clock is officially ticking.
The pumpkins won’t stay up forever, the fog will eventually clear, and the houses will close for the season.
But there’s still time to experience the scares, the food, the entertainment and the atmosphere for yourself.
So grab your friends, load up the car and make one last spooky-season road trip to Orlando.
Halloween Horror Nights 35 is still here—but not for much longer.
