Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is one of our favorite fall events, but there’s one challenge that comes with experiencing one of the most popular Halloween events in the country: there is A LOT to do in one night.
Between making your way through every haunted house, exploring the scare zones, trying specialty food, seeing entertainment and squeezing in a few attractions, it can be difficult to experience everything—especially when some haunted house wait times get LONG.
That’s exactly why we think an RIP Tour can be one of the best ways to experience Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida.
We’ve experienced Halloween Horror Nights with an RIP Tour, and if your goal is to maximize your night while taking some of the stress out of planning, there are several reasons we think it’s worth considering.
You Can Experience Every Haunted House in One Night
This is easily the biggest reason we love the RIP Tour.
Halloween Horror Nights has so many haunted houses to experience, and trying to fit every single one into one evening on your own can require a lot of strategizing.
With an RIP Tour, that completely changes.
During one of our previous experiences, we made it through all 10 haunted houses in approximately five hours. Based on the posted wait times that night, we estimated that we saved around 6.5 HOURS of waiting in lines.
Think about that for a second.
That’s essentially another entire HHN night that could have been spent standing in queues!
If you only have one night to experience Halloween Horror Nights, this alone can make the RIP Tour incredibly valuable.
You Get Front-of-the-Line Access
This is where the RIP Tour experience really stands apart.
Rather than spending a huge portion of your evening waiting in the regular haunted house queues—or even relying solely on Express—you’ll have front-of-the-line access during your tour.
Your guide takes your group from house to house, allowing you to spend your night actually experiencing Halloween Horror Nights instead of watching the clock while standing in line.
And once you’ve seen how quickly you can move through HHN this way, it’s very hard to go back!
You Don’t Have to Plan Your Entire Night
Halloween Horror Nights can require some serious strategy.
Which house should you do first? Which wait time is lowest? Should you walk across the park for another house? When should you stop for food? Are you going to have enough time to finish everything?
With an RIP Tour, someone else is handling much of that planning for you.
Your tour guide leads the way throughout the evening, which means you can focus more on enjoying the event and less on constantly checking wait times and trying to determine what you should do next.
For us, that makes the night feel significantly more relaxed.
You Have Your Own RIP Tour Guide
Having a knowledgeable guide is another part of what makes the experience feel special.
Your guide isn’t simply getting you from one haunted house to another. They can provide additional insight throughout the evening and help you navigate the event.
It’s a completely different experience from walking into Halloween Horror Nights and trying to figure everything out on your own.
It also gives the night a much more organized, premium feel from beginning to end.
You Get Access to Exclusive RIP Tour Areas
One of the coolest parts of booking an RIP Tour is getting access to areas that the average Halloween Horror Nights guest won’t necessarily experience.
RIP Tour guests can enjoy exclusive lounge spaces, giving you another way to experience the event beyond simply visiting the haunted houses.
These little extras are part of what makes RIP feel like more than paying to skip a line. You’re paying for an upgraded overall experience.
Food Is Part of the Experience
Another perk we have enjoyed with the RIP Tour is access to food before you head out the experience, including buffet-style recception with bites to eat.
Considering you’re going to be spending hours walking around Universal Studios Florida, having an opportunity to eat and recharge before heading into the scares is definitely appreciated.
And then you can save some room to try a few of the specialty Halloween Horror Nights foods throughout the rest of your night!
Premium Seating for Entertainment
Halloween Horror Nights isn’t just about the haunted houses.
Depending on the entertainment being offered during your visit, RIP Tour guests can also receive premium seating for select shows.
Instead of spending additional time trying to secure a good viewing spot, you can enjoy another perk designed to make your night easier.
You Can Experience Select Attractions, Too
Another reason the time savings matter so much is that it can leave you with more opportunities to enjoy everything else happening inside Universal Studios Florida.
Your RIP experience can include Express access to select open attractions, which means you may be able to squeeze some rides into your night without sacrificing several haunted houses to make it happen.
That’s particularly valuable if Halloween Horror Nights is your only opportunity to visit Universal Studios Florida during your trip.
There Are Some Fun VIP Extras
Part of the fun of an RIP Tour is simply feeling like a VIP for the night.
Depending on the current tour offerings, perks can include things like an RIP Tour lanyard and commemorative pin, exclusive spaces and other special touches throughout the experience.
Guests may also have opportunities for additional behind-the-scenes insight during their tour.
These aren’t necessarily the reasons we’d book an RIP Tour by themselves, but combined with everything else, they make the experience feel even more special.
Valet Parking Is Another Nice Perk
Even before you step into Halloween Horror Nights, the VIP treatment can begin.
Valet parking has been another benefit associated with the RIP Tour experience.
After spending an entire night walking around Halloween Horror Nights, anything that makes getting back to your car a little easier is a win in our book!
An RIP Tour Takes Away the Stress of Trying to “Do It All”
This might be our favorite part of the experience beyond skipping the lines.
Halloween Horror Nights is supposed to be FUN.
But when you only have one night and you’re constantly thinking about wait times, checking your phone and rushing across the park because you’re worried you won’t make it through every house, it can start feeling like a race against the clock.
An RIP Tour changes the pace of the entire evening.
You can let your guide handle the logistics while you focus on the actual experience: screaming through the houses, walking through the scare zones, trying the food and taking in the atmosphere.
You still accomplish a LOT, but the night can feel much less stressful.
Who Should Consider Booking an HHN RIP Tour?
We especially recommend considering an RIP Tour if you only have one night at Halloween Horror Nights.
If you’re visiting Universal Orlando on vacation and don’t have several evenings to dedicate to HHN, being able to experience every haunted house in one night can make a huge difference.
It’s also a great option for anyone who:
- Wants to experience as much of HHN as possible
- Doesn’t want to spend hours waiting in haunted house lines
- Has a limited amount of time at the event
- Wants a more relaxed, organized evening
- Enjoys premium or VIP-style theme park experiences
- Doesn’t want the stress of planning the perfect HHN strategy
For us, it’s really about maximizing every moment you have at Halloween Horror Nights.
Is the Halloween Horror Nights RIP Tour Worth It?
If Halloween Horror Nights is a major part of your Universal Orlando vacation and you want to experience as much as possible in a single night, we absolutely think an RIP Tour is worth considering.
On our previous tour, getting through all 10 haunted houses in around five hours while saving an estimated 6.5 hours of waiting in lines showed us just how much of a difference the tour can make.
But it’s not only about doing everything faster.
It’s about having a guide, enjoying exclusive perks, taking some of the pressure off yourself and actually being able to enjoy your night without constantly worrying about what you need to accomplish next.
Especially if you’re traveling to Orlando specifically for Halloween Horror Nights and only have one night at the event, the RIP Tour can help you make that one night count.
