It’s beginning to look a LOT like Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort!
Halloween has officially come to an end, and Disney has wasted no time transforming its theme parks into a winter wonderland. Christmas decorations have arrived at both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bringing festive garlands, towering Christmas trees, colorful ornaments and plenty of holiday magic to the parks.
And the excitement is only getting started!
Both of Walt Disney World’s signature Christmas parties kick off THIS WEEKEND, with Disney Jollywood Nights beginning Saturday, November 7, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returning Sunday, November 8, 2026.
Here’s a look at the holiday transformations happening around Walt Disney World and everything guests can look forward to this Christmas season.
Christmas Decorations Have Arrived at Magic Kingdom!
There’s something truly special about walking down Main Street, U.S.A. during the Christmas season, and that magical atmosphere has officially returned!
Magic Kingdom has welcomed its iconic holiday decorations, with festive wreaths, garlands and traditional Christmas touches decorating Main Street, U.S.A.
The park’s towering Christmas tree is standing proudly in Town Square, welcoming guests with colorful ornaments and holiday cheer.
With Christmas music filling the air and Cinderella Castle providing the perfect backdrop, Magic Kingdom is once again beginning to feel like a scene straight out of a holiday movie.
And while the decorations are exciting enough on their own, one of Disney World’s most beloved holiday traditions is just days away!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins November 8!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party officially returns to Magic Kingdom on Sunday, November 8, 2026!
This separately ticketed nighttime celebration brings some of Disney World’s most magical holiday entertainment to life.
Guests attending the party can look forward to festive experiences including Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, holiday-themed entertainment, seasonal treats and special character appearances.
And of course, there’s nothing quite like experiencing the magic of Main Street, U.S.A. during a Christmas party!
The event takes place from 7 p.m. until midnight, although party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m.

Hollywood Studios Is Decked Out for the Holidays!
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the park has been undergoing its own festive transformation, and the holiday decorations are officially making their return!
Known for its nostalgic, vintage-inspired Christmas decorations, Hollywood Studios has a completely different holiday atmosphere from Magic Kingdom.
Guests can spot colorful ornaments, festive garlands, retro holiday decorations and larger-than-life Christmas displays throughout the park.
Sunset Boulevard is particularly beautiful during the holidays, with its glamorous decorations creating an old-fashioned Hollywood Christmas atmosphere.
And one of the most beloved holiday traditions has officially returned!
GERTIE HAS HER SANTA HAT ON!
The iconic dinosaur overlooking Echo Lake is once again dressed in her festive best, complete with her Santa hat and a Christmas ornament in her mouth.
The park’s towering Christmas tree has also arrived at Echo Lake, surrounded by whimsical decorations and floating ornaments.
For many Disney fans, seeing Gertie wearing her Santa hat is the unofficial sign that the Christmas season has truly begun!
And this weekend, Hollywood Studios will take the festivities to another level with the return of Disney Jollywood Nights.
Disney Jollywood Nights Returns November 7!
Disney Jollywood Nights officially kicks off Saturday, November 7, 2026, bringing a glamorous holiday celebration to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Unlike the more traditional Christmas festivities at Magic Kingdom, Jollywood Nights combines vintage Hollywood glamour with Disney holiday magic.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their festive best while enjoying exclusive entertainment, unique character encounters, themed lounges, specialty food and beverages, and select attractions with typically shorter wait times.
This year’s event also includes new experiences, such as the Check In Twice Lounge in Animation Courtyard, along with more than 20 unique character experiences throughout the celebration.
And for the first time, Disney Jollywood Nights will extend into January!
The separately ticketed event runs from 7:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., with ticket holders able to enter Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Disney Jollywood Nights 2026–2027 Dates
November: 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28
December: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 23
January 2027: 3, 5
Tickets range from $169 to $199 per person, plus tax, depending on the event date.
With limited-capacity attendance and select dates already sold out, guests interested in attending should check availability as soon as possible.
Do You Need a Christmas Party Ticket to Enjoy the Decorations?
The good news is that you don’t need to attend a separately ticketed Christmas party to enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations at Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Guests visiting during regular park hours can experience the festive atmosphere, admire the decorations, take holiday photos and enjoy available seasonal offerings with regular theme park admission.
However, the exclusive entertainment and experiences offered during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights require separate event tickets.
It’s also important to remember that Magic Kingdom closes early to regular daytime guests on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights, so checking the park calendar before planning your visit is especially helpful.
