Hey Travellers,
Epcot’s Festival of the Arts is BACK and we were able to be there for Opening Day! It was very cold and windy but we still had a blast. We wanted to share all of the food and drinks that we tried so far.
First up was the Pop Eats booth where we tried the plain Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, as well as the Pimento and Bacon Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup. Both were delicious but we loved the extra kick the Pimento and Bacon dish had. We would highly recommend trying this, especially if the weather is cold!
Pimento and Bacon Grilled Cheese : 8.5/10
Grilled Cheese: 8/10
Next up, we visited the Encanto Booth. This was the second year this booth appeared, but the first time we got to try it and we were very impressed! All the offerings were very flavourful.
Chorizo and Potato Empanada : 9.5/10
Passion Fruit Daiquiri : 8/10
Passion Fruit Mousse : 8/10
A new booth this year is Figment’s Inspiration Station in the Odyssey Pavilion. We tried the Rainbow Cake and the Rainbow Cider Flight. The cake had freeze dried skittles on and it was so delicious. The Cider Flight was ok, but the flavours were not very prominent except for in the Cherry cider.
Rainbow Cake : 9.5/10
Rainbow Cider Flight : 6/10
The last item that we tried at Day 1 of the festival was an Espresso Martini. If you like strong, bitter coffee flavours then this is for you.
Espresso Martini : 5/10
Of course, the best part of the festival is the different artwork all around the World Showcase. Our personal favourite stands were the Star Wars and Marvel ones.
