Universal Orlando Resort is giving fans even more reasons to visit Universal CityWalk this fall with two unique experiences celebrating some major pop culture favorites.
Fans of the blockbuster Wicked film franchise can step into the world of Oz during the one-day Oztacular Spectacular on October 24, while fans of NBC’s The Traitors: New Blood can visit themed bar experiences inspired by the hit reality competition series at Universal’s Great Movie Escape.
Whether you’re ready to dance through life with Glinda and Elphaba or test your loyalty at the Roundtable, here’s what to know.
Oztacular Spectacular Comes to Universal CityWalk
On Saturday, October 24, Universal CityWalk will transform into a celebration of all things Wicked during Oztacular Spectacular.
Running from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., this one-day fan event will give guests plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in the dazzling world of Oz.
The event will feature:
- Glinda and Elphaba character appearances and meet-and-greets
- Wicked-themed photo opportunities, including stained-glass displays
- Special displays featuring costumes and props from the films
- A DJ playing Wicked hits throughout the event
- A yellow brick dance floor where guests can “dance through life”
- Wicked trivia sessions with opportunities to win exclusive giveaways
- The latest Wicked merchandise available at the Universal Legacy Store
For fans of the films, this is a chance to experience some of the magic of Oz outside of the theme parks — and the one-day-only nature of the event makes it especially noteworthy for anyone looking to make plans.
The Traitors: New Blood Takes Over Universal’s Great Movie Escape
If you’re more interested in alliances, deception and figuring out who can be trusted, The Traitors: New Blood is also getting its own themed experience at Universal’s Great Movie Escape.
The themed bar experience is now open and features two different spaces inspired by the series: The Library on the first floor and The Roundtable on the second floor.
Guests can explore the themed spaces, take photos and check out set elements, props and costumes featured on the show, including costumes worn by host Alan Cumming.
The experience also includes specialty beverages inspired by The Traitors: New Blood, making it a fun stop for fans who want to bring a little of the show’s atmosphere into their Universal Orlando visit.
When Can You Visit?
The Traitors: New Blood themed bar is open to the public Wednesdays through Sundays from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
And there’s good news if you simply want to check out the themed spaces: no admission is required to visit the themed bar experiences.
Guests who want to experience Universal’s Great Movie Escape itself will need separate admission.
