If spooky season at Walt Disney World is your favorite time of year, today is a big day — tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are now officially on sale to all guests starting May 12. And if history repeats itself, some dates won’t stay available for long.
Magic Kingdom’s wildly popular Halloween event returns on select nights from August through Halloween night, bringing back fan-favorite entertainment, trick-or-treating, rare characters, exclusive snacks, and all the festive fall vibes Disney does best.
For Disney fans, this party has become more than just a special event — it’s basically the unofficial kickoff to Halloween season.
Why This Event Is So Popular
There’s just something different about Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The music changes, pumpkins line Main Street, villains take over the park, and the atmosphere feels completely unique compared to a regular park day.
One of the biggest draws every year is the exclusive entertainment you can only see during the party, including:
- Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade
- Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
- Trick-or-treat trails throughout the park
- Rare character meet-and-greets
- Special Halloween overlays and themed experiences
And honestly, seeing Magic Kingdom lit up at night with fog rolling through Frontierland just hits differently during Halloween season.
New for 2026
Disney is also adding even more entertainment this year, including the new “ZOM-BEATZ BASH” dance party inspired by ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires.
The party continues to evolve every year, which is one reason so many guests return season after season.
Ticket Prices & Dates
Party dates begin in August and run through October 31, with pricing varying depending on the night selected. As usual, August party dates tend to be the cheapest, while October weekends and Halloween night are expected to be the most expensive — and likely the first to sell out.
Guests attending the party can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM, even though the official event doesn’t begin until 7 PM. That extra park time alone makes the event feel much more worth it for many families.
Our Advice? Don’t Wait Too Long
If you already know you want to go this year, it’s probably smart to grab tickets sooner rather than later. Popular dates have sold out faster and faster over the past few years, especially once fall travel season kicks in.
September weekends, October dates, and Halloween night are usually among the toughest tickets to grab.
