Summer is shaping up to be an exciting time at Walt Disney World as Disney prepares to launch the return of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER beginning May 26 through September 8. With limited-time entertainment, interactive experiences, new shows, and added resort perks, this seasonal celebration is designed to bring even more energy and fun to the parks during the busiest travel season of the year.
One of the biggest things that makes Cool KIDS’ SUMMER stand out is how much there is to do across all four parks. Rather than focusing on one event or nighttime spectacular, Disney is turning the entire resort into a summer-long celebration aimed especially at younger guests and families.
At Magic Kingdom, guests can join in on a Toy Story-themed summer experience in Frontierland featuring music, dancing, and interactive fun inspired by Jessie and the gang. EPCOT will once again become home to the upbeat GoofyCore experience inside CommuniCore Hall, giving families a fun indoor space filled with games, music, and dance parties throughout the day.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bluey and Bingo are expected to become some of the hottest character meet-and-greets of the summer when they arrive at Conservation Station. Meanwhile, Hollywood Studios is introducing a brand-new Disney Jr. stage show inspired by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, adding another entertainment option for younger Disney fans visiting the park.
Summer 2026 is also bringing updates beyond entertainment. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin recently reopened with refreshed ride features, updated effects, and new gameplay enhancements that make the attraction feel more interactive than ever before.
Disney Resort hotel guests will also benefit from the return of complimentary water park admission on check-in day, making it even easier for families to cool off during the summer heat. With both Disney water parks expected to operate this summer, guests will have more opportunities than usual to enjoy the extra perk.
What makes Cool KIDS’ SUMMER feel special is the atmosphere Disney is creating throughout the resort. From pop-up entertainment and dance parties to character experiences and family-friendly activities, the entire summer season feels designed around giving families more ways to play together both inside and outside the parks.
For anyone considering a Walt Disney World vacation this summer, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is shaping up to be one of the most fun and activity-filled times of the year to visit.
