Dinoland at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is officially starting closures as Disney makes way for their newest themed land, Tropical America’s!
Earlier this week, guests entered Animal Kingdom to find new walls have been added to hide the reconstruction that once held

- Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures
Animal Kingdom guests can still experience one last Dino themed attraction, Dinosaur, until its closing later this year.
For littles who are under the 40 inch height limit to ride, the Dino Dig play ground is also still open for exploration. If you have a Dino-mite appetite these themed quick service locations are also open:
- Restaurantosaurus
- Trilo-Bites
- Dino-Bite Snacks
- Dino Diner
What’s coming next?
Dinoland USA will be replaced with a new Tropical America’s themed land in 2027. While there hasn’t been much news directly from Disney, we do know that a new Encanto themed ride and an Indiana Jones themed ride will be added to this area.
