Ahoy there, Castaways! I am so excited to be talking to about one of my absolute favorite ships among the Disney Cruise Line fleet, The Disney Wish! She originally set sail for the first time in the Summer of 2022, and has been creating magical memories at sea every day since! The Wish is the first of what Disney calls its “Wish-Class” ships, followed by the Disney Treasure, and soon to be the Disney Destiny, as well.
What does “Wish-Class” mean? It has entirely to do with the specs and layout of the ship! Let’s take a look below at how it measures up to the previous 2 classes as far as shape & size goes! Take a look!
The Disney Wish, Treasure, & Destiny will all have the exact same layout and stateroom styles, with design changes such as colors and themes to coincide with the storytelling Disney is so well-known for. For instance, the Disney Wish celebrates the flora & fauna throughout the artwork around the ship. Cinderella is the figurehead statue that graces the Grand Hall, with the magnificent chandelier designed to look like her dress hanging upside-down towering over the light & regal midship space! Staterooms reflect this color scheme as well, with hues of blues, whites & creams throughout, & of course, a touch of sparkle woven into every little detail. If you are interested in learning more about the design details of the Disney Wish, be sure to sign up for the guided tour of the ship offered at select times throughout your voyage. See Guest Services once on board for availability. (The tour is free & guided by a Cast Member!)
The Disney Wish was designed with families in mind, offering an incredible lineup of fun features for every age. Kids can step into immersive worlds at Disney’s Oceaneer Club, where they can train with Marvel Super Heroes, design their own roller coasters in the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, or join Anna, Elsa, and Olaf for Frozen adventures. Tweens and teens get their own hangout spaces like Edge and Vibe, while little ones enjoy the It’s a Small World Nursery. Families can come together for Broadway-style shows like Disney’s Aladdin and Disney Seas the Adventure, or splash down the AquaMouse—the first-ever Disney attraction at sea. Add in themed dining that brings beloved stories like Frozen and Marvel to life, character meet-and-greets, deck parties, and fireworks under the stars, and the Wish delivers non-stop magic for every member of the family.
