Why Add Holiday Character Dining to Your Disneyland Vacation?

The holidays are one of the most exciting times to visit Disneyland Resort, but there’s so much to plan that it can be difficult to fit everything into your trip.

Character dining gives you an opportunity to enjoy a meal while spending time with Disney characters, without relying entirely on spontaneous encounters throughout the parks. Seasonal costumes, special menus, and festive settings can make these experiences feel like a celebration all on their own.

And if you’re visiting with children, Disney fans, or anyone who loves holiday traditions, a special character meal can become one of those vacation memories you talk about long after you return home.

One important tip: Don’t wait until the last minute to plan your holiday dining! Goofy’s Kitchen Christmas buffets and Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast are limited to December 24 and 25, 2026, and reservations for these Christmas dining experiences open November 12, 2026. Planning ahead is especially important if you have your heart set on a particular experience.
