The countdown is officially on! Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is set to open July 1, 2027, at Walt Disney World Resort, and Disney has given us an exciting first look inside the brand-new guest rooms.
Located along the shores of Bay Lake, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will bring together immersive Disney storytelling, nature-inspired design and a variety of accommodations designed for everything from couples’ getaways to large multigenerational family vacations.
With 967 guest rooms, the resort will offer everything from cozy duo studios and deluxe studios to spacious villas, luxurious suites and the brand-new waterfront Lake Houses.
And if these first looks are any indication, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is shaping up to be one of the most unique new places to stay at Walt Disney World.
A Resort Inspired by Nature and Disney Storytelling
Throughout Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, guests will find a design inspired by the beauty of the great outdoors.
Natural materials, earthy color palettes and artwork inspired by classic Disney films will bring the resort’s nature-focused theme to life. Disney artists and storytellers have incorporated details from beloved films including Bambi, Brother Bear, Encanto, Fantasia and Pocahontas into the guest accommodations.
The result is a resort that feels distinctly Disney without being overly themed, with subtle storytelling woven throughout the rooms and villas.
Introducing the Waterfront Lake Houses
One of the biggest highlights of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will be accommodations that are completely new to Walt Disney World: the Lake Houses.
These freestanding one- and two-bedroom retreats will sit directly along Bay Lake, offering guests an especially close connection to the surrounding scenery.
The Lake Houses will feature dramatic A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows and beautiful waterfront views. Each will also include a private porch overlooking the water, making it easy to relax and enjoy the scenery after a day in the parks.
The one-bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to five guests, while the two-bedroom Lake Houses will accommodate up to eight guests.

The design draws inspiration from Disney Animation’s Brother Bear, with artwork and details inspired by the film’s Alaskan setting and themes of nature and discovery. The primary bedroom will even feature a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature that creates a peaceful atmosphere at night.

Cozy Duo Studios Inspired by Encanto
Traveling as a pair? Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will offer duo studios, designed as a colorful and cozy retreat for two guests.
These rooms will take inspiration from Disney Animation’s Encanto, incorporating the vibrant spirit of the film into the design.
They could be an especially fun option for couples, friends or solo travelers looking for a smaller accommodation while still enjoying everything the new resort has to offer.
Deluxe Studios Bring Bambi to Life
The resort’s deluxe studios will take guests into the woodland world of Disney’s Bambi.
Warm natural materials, earthy tones and original concept artwork from the Walt Disney Archives will help create a peaceful, forest-inspired atmosphere.
Designed to accommodate up to four guests, these studios will provide comfortable living spaces that offer a relaxing retreat after a busy day exploring the Disney Parks.
Spacious One- and Two-Bedroom Villas
Families who need a little more room will have the option of one- and two-bedroom villas, also inspired by Bambi.
The one-bedroom villas will sleep up to five guests, while two-bedroom villas will accommodate up to nine guests.
These accommodations will feature:

- Washers and dryers
- Private patios
- Spacious living and dining areas
- Soft earth tones and forest-inspired details
The villas are designed with families in mind, giving everyone room to spread out and recharge between park days.
Grand Villas Designed for Big Family Getaways
Traveling with an extended family or a large group? The three-bedroom grand villas may be worth a closer look.
Inspired by Disney Animation’s Fantasia, each grand villa will sleep up to 12 guests and offer plenty of space for gathering together.
Guests will enjoy multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, private patio space and beautiful views of Bay Lake.
With multiple gathering areas and room for everyone to stay together under one roof, these accommodations could be a great option for multigenerational Disney vacations or special celebrations.
Resort Studios Inspired by Pocahontas
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will also offer more traditional resort accommodations, including resort studios sleeping up to four guests and resort studio king rooms sleeping up to two guests.
These rooms will draw inspiration from Disney Animation’s Pocahontas, with earthy colors and artwork inspired by the film’s sweeping natural landscapes.
The design continues the resort’s overall nature-inspired aesthetic while incorporating Disney storytelling in subtle ways.
A New Concierge Experience: The Artist’s Nest
Guests staying in select club-level resort rooms will have access to The Artist’s Nest, a concierge lounge perched above the treetops.
The lounge will offer personalized service, complimentary refreshments and—perhaps most exciting for Disney fans—exclusive views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
It’s another way Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is leaning into its natural surroundings while giving guests a more elevated resort experience.
A Presidential Suite With Magic Kingdom Fireworks Views
For the ultimate stay, the resort will offer the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite.
The spacious suite will sleep up to six guests and feature:

- Peaceful Bay Lake views
- Access to The Artist’s Nest
