Disney is expanding its cruise line in a big way with the upcoming debut of the Disney Believe, a brand-new ship designed to celebrate the power of dreams and the people who chase them. Announced as the fourth vessel in Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class, the Disney Believe will continue the company’s tradition of blending storytelling with immersive travel experiences.
The Wish class has quickly become known for turning cruise ships into floating story worlds. Drawing from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, these ships are designed so that guests feel surrounded by their favorite stories at every turn. From entertainment and dining to the smallest design details, everything works together to create a sense of being inside the story rather than just observing it.
One of the defining features of the Wish class is that each ship has its own distinct theme. Rather than repeating the same concept, Disney gives every vessel a unique identity that shapes the onboard experience. Previous ships have explored themes like enchantment, adventure, and the contrast between heroes and villains. The Disney Believe will introduce a new direction, focusing on the idea of possibility, encouraging guests to think about what can happen when people trust in themselves and their dreams.
This theme will come to life through a variety of familiar stories and settings. Guests can expect experiences inspired by films like Encanto and Frozen, along with classic fairy tale elements such as Snow White’s wishing well. Ocean-based stories will also play a major role, with worlds influenced by Moana and The Little Mermaid adding to the ship’s atmosphere of exploration and wonder.
While Disney has not yet revealed all the details, the Disney Believe is expected to launch in late 2027. Its arrival will further grow Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, giving travelers even more options for vacations that combine storytelling with travel.
In the meantime, the existing ships in the fleet continue to offer a wide range of itineraries and experiences. For families looking to set sail sooner, there are already plenty of opportunities to experience the unique blend of Disney storytelling and cruise travel, long before the Disney Believe makes its first voyage.
