Hey Travellers,
Yesterday we attended the Opening Day Event of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival and it was a BLAST! We are so excited to see Epcot in full bloom again!
Besides the wonderful topiaries, the live performances at The Garden Rocks Series or the immersive Butterfly Garden, we love this festival for its variety of themed food and beverages! Here is everything we tried yesterday and where you can purchase it from!
Location:Â Brunchcot
Our first visit was to Brunchcot, because what better way to start your day than with brunch? Brunchcot is located near to the TestTrack ride!
Items we tried:
Avocado Toast
Peach Bellini (alcoholic)
PLANT BASED – Biscuit and Gravy with Impossible Chicken Fried Steak
Brunchcot is always a favourite stop on our Festival Food Tour and we highly recommend a visit to this booth!
Location: The Honey Bee-stro
The Honey Bee-stro is located at the entrance to the World Showcase, where the old Starbucks used to be!
Items we tried:
Chicken and Waffles
Honey-Peach Freeze Cobbler
The chicken on the chicken and waffles was delicious and quite sweet! We didn’t love the waffles but they were ok! The drink was delicious though, perfect for a hot day!
Location: Swirled Showcase
This is located straight opposite The Honey Bee-stro, in the space the old Starbucks used to be.
Items we tried:
Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake
This was DELICIOUS! One of our festival favourites for sure, highly recommend if you are a cheesecake fan or a lover of all things sweet! The Blueberry composite was a great addition to the dish!
Location: Italy
This is located in the booth next to the water in the Italy Pavilion!
Items we tried:
Quatro Formaggi
To be completely transparent, we did not like this dish at all! The sauce was extremely runny and personally, just not for us!
Location: United Kingdom
This item was purchased from the outdoor beer cart in the United Kingdom, next door to The Rose and Crown!
Items we tried:
Scottish Thistle (alcoholic)
This drink is brand-new this year and absolutely delicious! So perfect for a hot Florida Day! It was very fruity but not too sweet!
Location: France
This was located from the pop-up festival booth as soon as you enter France (from the UK).
Items we tried:
Caramelised Beignet with Vanilla Cream Filling
This was good! It tasted more like a donut than a Beignet. The top reminded us of a Creme Brûlée and the Vanilla Cream Filling was lovely! It was huge though so you could definitely split this if you wanted to!
Location: La Isla Fresca
This booth is located between France and Morocco!
Items we tried:
Impossible Jamaican Beef Patty
This was my favourite item of the festival so far. The impossible beef was well seasoned and the sauce on the top was delicious, they paired perfectly together. It was a little spicy so if you don’t enjoy heat, maybe avoid this item. I do eat meat, but I enjoy plant-based items too and this was FANTASTIC!
Location: China
These were from the pop-up booth located in the China Pavilion!
Items we tried:
Cheesy Crab Wontons
Thoroughly enjoyed these!! Wish they gave you more!
Location: Canada
From the pop-up booth in Canada!
Items we tried:
Beef Tenderloin Tips
Also a festival favourite! Extremely tender and great taste! Loved that it was served with potato and a few vegetables! A great end to the festival food tour for opening day!
And that was all for Opening Day of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! We will be back soon to try some more food and beverage items!
