We recently stayed in Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort and we are here to provide you with a review!
Resort Name: Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter.
Overview: There are two “sides” to this resort, Riverside and French Quarter – each themed slightly differently. For this stay we were in French Quarter, however guests are welcome to enjoy both sides of the Resort. You can walk between both sides and there is a boat to take you between them if you prefer.
Resort Type: Moderate Resort.
Room Type: Garden View Room.
One building or Multiple: Multiple Buildings. A map will be provided once your room is ready to assist you!
Quick Service Locations: Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, Scat Cat’s Club Cafe – make sure you try the Mickey Beignets!
Table Service Dining Location: N/A
Transportation Options: Bus Transportation is available to all Walt Disney World theme parks. A boat is available to transport you to Disney Springs or Port Orleans Riverside.
Pools: Doubloon Lagoon – where it’s Mardi Gras everyday! You’ll find festive decorations, an all alligator band and a fun waterslide! There is also a pool bar “Mardi Grogs” for those who wish to enjoy some poolside beverages.
Ol’ Man Island – Guests staying at French Quarter are also welcome to enjoy the pool at Port Orleans Riverside which is just a short walk (or boat ride) away. Located down the Sassagoula River, this 3.5-acre refuge includes a swimmin’ hole with rushing waterfalls and a rustic 95-foot waterslide fashioned after an old mill.
Exciting Extras: Family friendly activities take place each evening with Disney’s Recreation Team including movies under the stars and campfires to roast marshmallows!
