Hey Travellers,
Universal Orlando invited us to experience their Holiday Celebrations and we had the best time! Their Holiday celebrations run until December 31st, 2023 and we are here to share five of our top suggestions for making the most out of your Holiday Visit to Universal Orlando.
- Meet The Grinch and Earl the Squirrel
The Grinch Meet and Greet is possible the best character meet and greet of all time! The Grinch is hilarious (and a little bit savage). You will come out of this meet and greet laughing, he is extremely comedic and perfect in his interactions. Earl the Squirrel (also known as Universal’s Christmas Icon) is so fun to meet in his Christmas Attire. Both characters are available to meet daily and times/location can be found in the Universal App!
2) Exclusive Food and Beverage / Merchandise
The food and beverage options at Universal are always great but they have truly blown it out of the water this Holiday Season. We tried lots of different options but one thing you shouldn’t miss are The Grinch Cookies, they are so delicious! They can also be found in an Ice Cream Sandwich in Seuss Landing. The Holiday Merchandise is top tier too, especially their Christmas at Hogwarts Collection!
3) The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular
The Grinchmas Show is the centerpiece of the Grinchmas celebration at Seuss Landing. It’s a heartwarming live show starring the Grinch in the telling of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and it also features a colorful cast of Who-ville residents and music recorded by Mannheim Steamroller. The performances are incredible and the costumes/makeup have the perfect attention to detail. There are eight showtimes each day for this show and it lasts about 30-minutes.
4) Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.
The Holiday Parade at Universal is INCREDIBLE. Catch larger-than-life balloons floating through the streets at this Orlando Christmas parade featuring characters from Madagascar, Shrek, and Despicable Me. During the parade, snow will cover the streets as you anxiously await the arrival of the main man himself, Santa Claus! The parade is long too, it lasts about 30-minutes and really gets you in the Holiday Spirit.
5) Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Join the celebration as Hogwartsâ„¢ castle lights up for the holidays and festive decor brightens up the streets of Hogsmeadeâ„¢ in Universal Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alleyâ„¢ in Universal Studios Florida. Enjoy a hot Butterbeerâ„¢ while both the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees put a holiday spin on their performances. If you only do one thing during your visit to Hogsmeade, make sure you watch The Magic of Christmas at Hogwartsâ„¢ Castle, from dusk until park close in Universal Islands of Adventure. This is a projection show with music and you might even see a firework! We watched it while enjoying a Hot Butterbeer on a chilly evening and it was perfect!
