Disney has unveiled even more exciting details about Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, giving guests a first look at the breathtaking lobby, new dining experiences, and waterfront gathering spaces that will welcome visitors when the resort opens in summer 2027 at Walt Disney World Resort.
The latest installment of Disney’s new “Letters from Lakeshore” series offers a behind-the-scenes look at how Imagineers are bringing this nature-inspired resort to life along the shores of Bay Lake.
A Grand Arrival Inspired by Nature
From the moment guests step into Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, they’ll be immersed in the beauty of the natural world.
The resort’s lobby will feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking The Wetlands, filling the space with natural light and creating a seamless connection between the outdoors and the resort’s design.
Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas, the lobby will include a shimmering fiberoptic river woven into the floor and a stunning blown-glass “Colors of the Wind” sculpture suspended overhead. The installation will feature hundreds of glass leaves designed to capture the movement and beauty of nature.
Natural materials will be found throughout the lobby, including custom tapestries inspired by the film’s landscapes and furnishings accented with river-recovered cypress wood, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for arriving guests.
Three New Dining Experiences
Disney also revealed three unique dining locations that will give guests plenty of options throughout their stay.
Moonglade
For those looking for a signature dining experience, Moonglade will offer table-service meals with beautiful waterfront views of Bay Lake.
Large windows overlooking the shoreline and towering cypress trees will create a peaceful setting while guests enjoy dishes made with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Bay Lake Provisions
Guests looking for a quick bite can stop by Bay Lake Provisions, an all-day quick-service marketplace serving specialty coffees, fresh meals, and grab-and-go favorites.
The open-kitchen concept is designed to make the space feel welcoming, and Disney fans will want to keep an eye out for hidden woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney animated classics tucked throughout the restaurant.
Paint Out Point Bar & Grill
Located near Lakeshore Lagoon, Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will provide the perfect place to relax after a day spent enjoying the resort’s outdoor recreation.
The poolside bar and grill will offer shareable bites and specialty beverages while celebrating the art of plein-air painting through original artwork created by Walt Disney Imagineers, inspired by the scenic landscapes surrounding Bay Lake.
A New Spot to Watch Magic Kingdom Fireworks
One of the most exciting reveals is Dandelion Terrace, a new lounge where guests can unwind after sunset while enjoying views of Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks across Bay Lake.
The two-story lounge will showcase archival artwork from Disney classics, including Fantasia, while whimsical dandelion-inspired lighting creates a cozy atmosphere. Combined with panoramic waterfront views, the space is designed to be the perfect place to end a Disney day.
