When people think of Disneyland Paris, Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. often steal the spotlight. But after spending time exploring the newly transformed Disney Adventure World, I can confidently say this park deserves to be on every Disney fan’s must-visit list.
Disney Adventure World isn’t just a collection of attractions; it’s an immersive experience where you’re transported directly into some of Disney’s most beloved stories. From joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Marvel Avengers Campusto shrinking down with Remy in Worlds of Pixar, every corner invites you to become part of the adventure. And then there’s the crown jewel of the entire park…
Welcome to Arendelle: The World of Frozen
The moment I caught my first glimpse of the snow-capped mountains towering over Arendelle, I honestly forgot I was standing in a Disney park.
Walking into The World of Frozen feels less like entering a themed land and more like crossing into another country. Every detail has been carefully crafted from the charming Nordic architecture and waterfront village to the towering North Mountain overlooking the kingdom. It genuinely feels alive.
As I wandered through the streets, I found myself slowing down to take everything in. The shop windows, the wooden buildings, the mountain backdrop, and the familiar music floating through the air create an atmosphere that’s impossible not to get lost in.
Frozen Ever After Brings the Story to Life
The signature attraction, Frozen Ever After, is everything fans could hope for.
You’ll board a boat and journey through the kingdom alongside Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven as unforgettable songs from the films surround you. The attraction blends stunning Audio-Animatronics, breathtaking scenery, and Disney’s signature storytelling into an experience that feels incredibly emotional whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.
Even if you’ve experienced Frozen Ever After elsewhere, seeing it within the fully realized Kingdom of Arendelle makes the attraction feel even more magical.
It’s the Details That Make It Special
What impressed me most wasn’t just the ride—it was everything around it.
You can meet Anna and Elsa, encounter Olaf, enjoy live entertainment celebrating Arendelle’s traditions, browse themed shops, and dine in locations that feel like they’ve been part of the kingdom for generations. Everywhere you look, Imagineering has blurred the line between theme park and reality.
I found myself wanting to stay long after I had finished riding the attractions, simply because the land is so beautiful to explore.
If you’re visiting Disneyland Paris, don’t rush through or skip The World of Frozen. That’s where the real magic happens.
Adventure Way: A Beautiful New Journey
Connecting the park together is Adventure Way, a beautifully landscaped promenade that immediately sets the tone for your adventure.
Instead of simply walking from one land to another, Adventure Way becomes part of the experience itself with lush gardens, entertainment, dining, and the charming Raiponce Tangled Spin attraction inspired by Tangled. It serves as the perfect transition before arriving at the breathtaking shores of Adventure Bay.
Adventure Bay
At the center of Disney Adventure World sits Adventure Bay, a massive lake that ties the entire park together.
Throughout the day it offers incredible photo opportunities, but after dark it transforms into the stage for Disney Cascade of Lights, a spectacular nighttime show featuring fountains, drones, projections, lighting effects, and fireworks. The reflections dancing across the water create one of the most stunning nighttime experiences at any Disney destination.
Marvel Avengers Campus
If superheroes are more your style, Marvel Avengers Campus is an action-packed land where you’re recruited into the Avengers’ latest mission.
From high-energy attractions to heroic character encounters, this area perfectly captures the excitement of the Marvel Cinematic Universe while making guests feel like part of the team.
Worlds of Pixar
Families will also love Worlds of Pixar, home to favorites including Ratatouille: The Adventure, where you’ll shrink to the size of Chef Remy for a thrilling chase through Gusteau’s restaurant.
The land celebrates Pixar’s unforgettable stories with colorful attractions, entertainment, and immersive environments that are just as fun for adults as they are for kids.
Why Disney Adventure World Is Worth the Trip
Disney Adventure World represents a bold new chapter for Disneyland Paris. The park has transformed into a destination where immersive storytelling takes center stage, offering experiences unlike anything else in Europe.
But if you ask me what I’ll remember most?
It’s standing on the waterfront in The World of Frozen, looking across the water toward Arendelle Castle as the mountain towered above me. For just a moment, it didn’t feel like I was visiting a theme park.
It felt like I’d stepped into the movie.
And that’s exactly what Disney Imagineering set out to accomplish.
