Every autumn, Plaza de la Familia transforms Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure into a joyous, color-filled celebration of Coco and the spirit of Día de los Muertos. The event is running now through November 2, with no separate ticket required.
At the heart of the celebration is “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!”, a lively street show performed several times each day. The show features beloved songs from Coco, such as “Remember Me,” “The World Es Mi Familia,” and touches of the classic “La Llorona,” all woven together with dance, storytelling, and vibrant visuals. After the performance, guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with a hand-animated, dimensional figure of Miguel.

Activities & Interactive Magic
Plaza de la Familia is much more than a show. Here’s how guests can dive deeper into the experience:
-
Memory Wall & Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life): Guests are invited to write memories or dedications to loved ones and post them on the Memory Wall near the symbolic Tree of Life installation.

-
Crafts & Masks: Kids (and adults!) can pick up themed crafts—such as coloring or personalizing paper alebrije (spirit guide) masks of characters like Pepita or Dante.
-
Photo Ops & Decor: Themed backdrops, murals, and a World of Coco installation allow fans to snap keepsake photos against vibrant décor and Miguel-themed displays.

Food & Flavor Highlights
One of the standouts of Plaza de la Familia is its Mexican-inspired food offerings, served at Paradise Garden Grill (and select outdoor carts) with mobile ordering available. Some of the 2025 menu highlights include:
-
Achiote Half Chicken (new): roasted with achiote marinade, served with Spanish rice, refried beans, and a nopal (cactus) salad.
-
Loaded Chicken Quesadilla: achiote chicken, roasted peppers, chipotle crema, guacamole & pico de gallo
-
Al Pastor Tacos: pineapple-achiote pork, avocado spread, tomatillo salsa, with rice & beans
-
Carne Asada Wet Burrito (plant-based option): with salsa verde and crema
-
Buñuelos Biónico: crispy tortilla chips dusted with cinnamon sugar, topped with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and sweetened condensed banana milk (dessert)
-
Vanilla Layer Cake: layers of cinnamon mousse and cream cheese frosting
-
Beverages & Sippers: A non-alcoholic Pineapple Pomegranate Lemonade is new for 2025, and there’s a Coco / Dante-themed sipper novelty cup to collect.
