Hey Travellers,
Are you getting ready to embark on a Disney Cruise Line Sailing but aren’t sure what you should pack? We have you covered! We’ve put together a checklist of our must-pack items before we set sail.
*It’s important to note that your larger pieces of luggage will be taken from you upon arrival at the cruise port. You can take a small carry-on or a backpack onboard yourself, so we suggest placing any essentials in there e.g bathing suits, important medication and of course, your travel documents.
Must Pack Items:
- Important Travel Documents (passport and/or required citizenship documentation).
- Luggage tags (Disney Cruise Line sends these to you a few weeks before your trip, place them on your luggage before arriving at the port!)
- Medication.
- Mickey/Minnie Ears (it is a Disney Cruise after all!)
- Camera and accessories (batteries, memory card, etc.).
- Polaroid Camera (we love having instantly printed memories!).
- Phone and phone charger.
- Sea sickness bands and/or medication. If you forget this, complimentary sea sickness medication will be provided by Guest Services if the weather is bad!
- Toiletries.
- Books (what better way to relax than reading your favorite novel by the pool!)
- Sunscreen and hats.
- Swimsuits.
- Dinner attire
- Sunglasses
- Sandals and sneakers (rubber-sole shoes for Port Adventures)
- A cardigan or jacket for the evenings – if you’re out on Deck it can get very windy/chilly.
Top Tip: For those who like to indulge in an alcoholic beverage, each guest can take on a six-pack of beer or 2 bottles of wine/champagne. These must be packed in your carry-on, NOT in your main luggage.
If you’re headed out on a cruise to colder destinations such as Alaska, you may also want to pack:
- Winter wear: gloves, hat, coat, boots, sweatshirt, etc.
- Waterproof and windproof coat
- Pants or jeans
- Sturdy footwear (boots or rubber-sole shoes)
- Poncho
- Windbreaker/rain jacket
- Sweater or other clothes you can layer
Before you head out for your cruise, be sure to print out your Port Arrival Form that is provided after check-in on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app; you will want to keep this form (along with your passport/proof of citizenship) in your other smaller bag that you are carrying onto the ship, as it will be needed when arriving at the port.
Last of all, make sure you enjoy yourself!
