New Wicked: For Good Food & Beverages
A day full of fun photo ops, shopping, and exploring is sure to work up an appetite, and I can’t imagine a better way to tend to it than specially themed food and beverages. Right in front of Wicked: The Experience, you’ll find the mystifying Emerald City Eats, your one-stop shop for the best tastes Oz has to offer.

I have so much gratitution for the chefs behind the Oz-berry Cheesecake Waffle. Made with whipped cream cheese, strawberries in sauce, graham crumble, and white chocolate popping candy, this delight is nothing short of magical!
“Last year’s waffle did so well that we didn’t want to change too much of it, and everybody loves strawberry cheesecake, so with minimal change and adding a couple of different ingredients, we remade a popular waffle,” Universal’s research and development chef Luis Rivera says.

Craving a sandwich with an Ozian twist? The house-made Emerald City Focaccia does just the trick with its savory basil pesto, sliced mortadella, eggs, and sage derby cheese. Taste the Ozian goodness in every bite of this irresistible sandwich.

When I’m lost, I simply remember that All Roads Lead to Oz Flatbread. Nothing restores my sense of direction quite like fresh focaccia made in-house with yellow cheese sauce, cheddar sauce, roasted yellow peppers, pepperoni, and jalapeños altogether in one sensational dish.
“The pathway that you see along there is cooked pepperoni and jalapeño, so there’s a little bit of danger along that path to follow in the movies,” Chris Colón, the executive sous chef of research and development, says. “It’s delicious, but it’s dangerous, and you get a reward for carving that path.”

At Universal, we know a thing or two about popular. That’s why we put in a potion — the Popular Potion, to be exact! This colorful concoction is made with rosé vodka, triple sec, dragonfruit syrup, and pink lemonade with a pink sugar rim and pink lemonade sour candy belts to garnish.

One taste of the bewitching Enchanting Elixir is sure to have you seeing the Wizard of Oz. Its blend of white tequila, melon liqueur, Granny Smith apple syrup, and lemonade with a green sugar rim and lime wheel garnish is a true showstopper.
Universal’s beverage manager Liam Wedderburn says he not only designed these cocktails with the protagonists’ signature colors in mind, but also their flavors. “Tequila has that reputation that I think fits well with Elphaba’s personality,” he says. “Glinda has rosé vodka, which is a pink vodka, so she’d be very happy about that.”
Liam says these drinks are a great way to liven the in-person “Wicked: For Good” experience. “There’s two drinks, and you can pick which of the two protagonists that you identify more with,” he says.

Just a brisk walk past Wicked: The Experience in the Hollywood area are two more wickedly good treats at Schwab’s Pharmacy. Follow The Yellow Road Shake to find a flurry of flavors with dulce de leche ice cream, golden chocolate crisps, and broken yellow brick road chocolate and caramel pieces.

Elphaba’s mother isn’t the only one drinking mysterious green mixtures with a touch of magic. Sip on the Wizard’s Elixir Shake, which is made with a tasty blend of mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate popping candy, Emerald City sprinkles, sweetened condensed milk elixir, and whipped topping. Both of these creamy delectations are served in a snazzy, “Wicked: For Good”-themed cup to truly bring the charm to life!
“I have three little girls and a wife at home who love ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ so it’s always exciting to bring these really cool things that my family loves at home to let them know ‘Hey, Daddy helped make that,’ or ‘Daddy’s friends at work did that together,’” Chef Chris says.
There’s even more “Wicked: For Good” fun beyond the yellow brick road, and it’s at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen in Universal CityWalk. The wonderful Wizard of Oz has bestowed upon us three thrillifying tastes that even the wickedest of witches can’t resist!

Toothsome does a lot of things right, and one of those things is sundaes — more specifically, the Wicked: For Good Sundae. Enjoy strawberry and mint chocolate chip ice cream with an overhaul of chocolate cream-filled cookies, pink chocolate crisps, chocolate popping candy, strawberry sauce, whipped topping, and a mint chocolate chip and strawberry ice cream sandwich.
Chef Chris feels like the sundaes at Toothsome don’t get enough love, so when presented with the task of creating something for “Wicked: For Good,” he knew he had to pull out all the stops. “This ice cream sandwich has half mint and half strawberry ice cream, so it’s the first of its kind, and it’s got a beautiful glittering butterfly to represent the butterflies at Glinda and Fiyero’s wedding,” he says. “We wanted to make sure that people knew we were really going deep, and we want to show appreciation for the movie and where it came from.”
Magic fills the air (and your stomach) with the Emerald City Sour, an Elphaba-endorsed cocktail made with vodka, elderflower liqueur, almond liqueur, lime juice, green apple syrup, and simple syrup.
Now it’s time to Tap to Bubble! This fruity mocktail has Glinda the Good Witch written all over it with its mix of lemon juice, watermelon purée, simple syrup, blueberry essence, and garnished with dragon fruit bursting boba.
Grace Yacobowsky, then Toothsome now Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant manager, is a long-time fan of Wicked and was over the moon at the opportunity to craft something for Toothsome ahead of the upcoming film. “Wicked is so incredibly important to my life, and I think taking it from the stage to the big screen is so awesome,” she says.
Each ingredient in these drinks was carefully selected to fit the essences of Glinda and Elphaba to a T. “Such a huge part of Glinda is the pink and sparkles, especially in the second movie when you learn about the making of the bubble, so that was kind of the inspiration around the Tap to Bubble mocktail,” Grace says.
She adds that the glitter in the Emerald City Sour represents Elphaba finding herself in the magic and the power within her, but that the sour holds another meaning. “Elphaba has spent her entire life dreaming of going to Emerald City and meeting the Wizard, and now she’s realizing that maybe that dream isn’t as wonderful and as perfect as she thought that it was,” Grace notes. “Kind of a play on that sour idea.”
Come bring the Glinda to your Elphaba to Universal Orlando Resort and enjoy the best of “Wicked: For Good” we have to offer!
