At the 2024 D23 event this year, it was announced that Dinoland USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is going to be replaced with a South American-themed land. The beloved Dinosaur attraction is going to be reimagined into an Indiana Jones ride. And the Dino-Rama area will transform into Encanto. Including the Madrigal’s Casita-complete with an all new attraction.
While this new area is not set to debut until 2027, the deconstruction of Dinoland will begin this year. And with only a few months left in 2024, that doesn’t leave a lot of time! In addition to Dinoland USA closing, It’s Tough To Be a Bug, located inside the Tree of Life will also be going away. This 3D show will be reimagined into the 2016 animated film Zootopia. A closing date has not yet been announced, but the Zootopia-inspired show is scheduled to open Winter of 2025. Come put those bug-eye glasses on and become an honorary bug, while you still can.
